Difficulty: Grade 2 walk

This is our second joint walk with WA Wanderers as a Pride event. Last year’s walk was great fun and very well supported. Don’t miss out this year. The walk takes us to Loton Park Tennis Club where Bears will provide a complimentary lunch and a cash bar from 1 pm. Please book to confirm your attendance for catering purposes (it is free) at

The walk starts from Elizabeth Quay (meet at Spanda, the white elliptical sculpture) at 9:30 for 10:00 departure. The long option is to walk south over the Narrows bridge, or you can bring your Smartrider card and catch the 10:00 ferry to Mends Street Jetty to cut about 3km from the route (8.7km remains) and meet the walkers at the Jetty. From here we follow the south bank paths to cross the river at Heirisson Island, follow the north bank to just after the Windan Bridge then make our way up to Loton Park where lunch will be waiting for us.

Please carry water, sun protection and snacks for the walk. You will need a Smartrider or cash if you use the ferry.
If you drive, we suggest you park near Loton Park / East Perth Train station and get the train or bus into Elizabeth Quay. The 950 Bus runs along Beaufort Street and actually stops at Elizabeth Quay station. It is a frequent service and easily reachable from Loton Park.
The walk is for Bears Perth and WA Wanderers (members and guests) and remains a men-only event. However, we should be aware if LPTC have booked Tennis Courts on the Sunday, then there may be some female players around when we are at Loton Park.
